Several years ago, I decided that I couldn’t commit to a resolution that I was supposed to keep for a year, and I started doing monthly resolutions. It works much better for me…until about May, and then it’s all over. I keep trying, though.
January this year I gave up sugar except for Saturdays and holidays. I usually give up all sugar in January, but when February comes, with the chocolate hearts and sugary sweets, all bets are off. I thought that if I allowed myself one day a week to have a little sugar I may be able to continue with that resolution. We will see.
I also resolved to drink more water in January. I’ve done pretty well at that, but I could do better. It’s not that I drink other stuff instead (well. Maybe that is it. I do love my morning coffee.), but I just forget to drink anything and get dehydrated.
So, for February, I hope to continue with the less sugar and more water thing and I’m adding a resolution about meditating daily. I’ve never really done this before, and I’m a bit worried that I won’t be able to find the time. Here’s hoping I can make it work.
